How much does bookkeeping cost for a startup?

Do I have to use Xero?

We're a Xero Partner and recommend it for most startups because of its real-time reporting and bank feeds. If you're already on another platform we'll discuss the best route, but Xero is where we deliver the most value.

How often will my books be updated?

For most clients we reconcile monthly, so your numbers are current within a few days of each month end. Higher-volume businesses can move to weekly. We'll agree a cadence that fits your stage.

What's the difference between bookkeeping and accounting?

Bookkeeping is the day-to-day recording and reconciliation of transactions. Accounting builds on that data to produce statutory accounts, file tax, and advise on decisions. We do both, and good bookkeeping makes everything downstream cheaper and more accurate.

I'm behind on my books. Can you help me catch up?
